1930 Standard Roadster - Continued

Another view of the front compartment. The seats are the second version used in the Standard Roadster. Introduced in mid-1930, the springs are slightly lowered for more head room. The seat welt was raised approximately 1", eliminating the need for darts in the upper corners. The floor mat is a little tired, but original.

This view of the door cardboard shows the escutcheon behind the handle, and the chocolate brown door check strap & fastening plates. Note the "T" weatherstrip on the lower door. This was added approximately July 1930.

The Roadster is equipped with wide-eared cast iron shocks previously assumed to be a 1931 item. The square adjusters were phased out beginning october 1930, aiding the determination that the shocks had not been replaced.
